Mänskligheten är vidrig, och misantropi är bara självinsikt och klarsynthet.

Miljöorganisationen World Conservation Union, IUCN, presenterade i dag listan över vilka djur och växter i världen som hotas av utrotning. 41.415 arter är i fara. 16.306 av dem hotas av utrotning, det är 188 arter fler än förra året. 785 av jordens kända arter listas som helt utrotade och ytterligare 65 finns i dag bara i fångenskap.
